Situational Life Skills Assessment for Kids (Age 10)
Purpose: To observe and understand how a child responds to real-life situations that reveal strengths and growth areas in communication, emotional intelligence, problem-solving, and confidence.
Instructions: Read each situation to the child and ask them to choose what they would most likely do. Responses can be selected from multiple choices or discussed in a conversation.
đź’¬ Communication Skills
1. You’re in class and don’t understand something the teacher said. What do you do?
- A. Stay quiet and hope it gets clearer.
- B. Ask a friend later.
- C. Raise your hand and ask the teacher.
2. A friend is telling you about their day, but you’re busy with your own project.
- A. Keep working and say “uh-huh” sometimes.
- B. Stop and listen carefully.
- C. Tell them to wait until you’re done.
3. You’re in a group and have an idea for the project.
- A. Keep it to yourself.
- B. Wait for the right time to share.
- C. Share your idea with confidence.
